The Eugenides Foundation is dynamically launching the use of podcasts technology, thus enhancing the experience of narrative education. The Eugenides Foundation Library, in cooperation with the library of the Piraeus Bank Group Cultural Foundation (PIOP), creates podcasts about the life and work of great scientists. Under the title "Scientists who “Eurikan”[1] for the humanity", the two libraries strengthen their long and successful collaboration and proceed to a creative action that aims to provide scientific information about the lives and works of great scientists who shaped the sciences we know today. The creation of the podcasts series was done in collaboration with the "Paramythofono" of the "Center for the study and dissemination of myths and fairy tales".

These podcasts narrations concern scientifically documented stories from the life and work of scientists who tried new ways and managed to lead humanity a step further. Their aim is to present narratively the biography and work of great scientists, in a simple and understandable way through the spoken word. All the information used for these scientifically reliable podcasts is taken from books written by and about them.

The first episode of the series is about the life of Archimedes, one of the greatest geniuses of ancient times, who was destined to establish basic principles in mathematics and engineering. This episode was followed by biographies of other great scientists such as Eratosthenes, Aristarchus, Copernicus, Albert Einstein, Hypatia, Elizabeth Blackwell, etc.
