The space and its use
Since the beginning of 2023, the Library operates fully renovated, after redesigning its spaces, collections and services, which began in 2018 in order to better adapt to the digital age, to modern trends and information needs.
The main concern of the Eugenides Foundation is that the Library remains a meeting and study point for young people, providing as always its open and free access services to the public and continuing its learning activities. Particular emphasis is placed on enriching in particular the educational programmes aimed at strengthening the so-called 21st century skills, especially information literacy.
For the implementation of the above mentioned, the new space of the Library was designed as an extroverted, flexible space, with the possibility of multiple configurations, following the developments of the time, which require libraries to transform themselves into places of meeting and inspiration, spaces of collaborative learning and creation, synthesis of experiences, development of ideas and constructive use of technological means for the creation of new knowledge.
