The participation to the Library’s educational programmes is free of charge, but please note that are offered only in Greek language.

Media Literacy Exhibition
A program for people of all generations
Have you ever liked a post without reading its content? When was the last time you wondered if an image you saw online was real or edited?
“Fakeless” is the Exhibition dedicated to the secrets of the digital world and disinformation from the Media. Its main goal is to improve the skills of evaluation and conscious use of information from the modern digital environment, by people of all generations. Through informative posters, videos, quizzes and other rich audiovisual material, visitors will gain “immunity” to disinformation, answering questions such as: how can we check if information is accurate? How can we recognize misinformation and disinformation? How can we check if information is accurate?
The program is implemented by the Eugenides Foundation and the Goethe-Institut Athen, and is based on the exhibition created by the Goethe-Institut and the organization Kunsht (Ukraine).

Digital Information Explorers
Information or Misinformation? Recognize the Difference | Grades: 5th and 6th Elementary, Middle School and High School
In a world where information overwhelms our daily lives, how can we distinguish In a world where information overwhelms our daily lives, how can we distinguish truth from misinformation? The Eugenides Foundation's educational programme invites students to creatively explore the power of accurate information and evaluation tools, and to cultivate the skills that will protect them from fake news and deepfakes.
After the programme, students will:
- Discover how to verify information in the age of artificial intelligence.
- Learn the secrets of libraries and modern media.
- Learn tools and strategies to identify and counter misinformation.
- Develop their critical thinking skills through practical, real-life examples.

Because the programme encourages students in an interactive and fun way to become information literate, improve their research skills and become more thoughtful citizens in a challenging world.

An online program organized by the Eugenides Foundation Library, with the scientific support of the Eugenides Planetarium | Ages: 12-15
Brief Description - Purpose and Educational Objectives
Inspired by the landing of NASA’s Rover Perseverance on the Martian surface on February 18, 2021, the Eugenides Foundation Library created an online educational programme to explore, along with the participants, the secrets of the "red planet".
When did the first mission to Mars take place? Is there water on the "red planet"? How about volcanic or tectonic activity? What is the composition of the Martian atmosphere?
Additionally…
What do we mean by "valid and reliable information"? How do we evaluate scientific sources?
We will discover the answers to these, but also to other equally interesting questions, on the website of the Eugenides Foundation, which contains a variety of reliable scientific information (digital articles, books, audiovisual material).
At the end of the program the participants will have the opportunity to engage in a discussion with the Director of the Eugenides Planetarium Dr. Manos Kitsonas, analyzing further issues related to the red planet and having their questions answered.
