How do objects move within a gravitational field? What is gravity? According to Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity, gravity is not a force between masses. Instead gravity is an effect of the warping of spacetime in the presence of mass.

The gravity well simulates such a gravitational field. Toss the balls into the gravity well and observe their motion. Give each ball different speed and direction to explore circular and elliptical orbits. Try to rotate the gravity well around its axis. What do you observe?
